Spicy Tikka Burgers

Ingredient List:

2 chicken breasts, sliced in half, lengthwise

1/4 cup steers tikka sauce

1 tablespoon mayo

1 tablespoon yoghurt

4 burger rolls

20 grams lettuce

1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced


Step 1: Mix steers sauce, yoghurt and mayo.

Step 2: Marinate chicken in half of the sauce. 

Step 3: Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes. 

Step 4: Of the remainder sauce, scoop out 1 heaped tablespoon and keep aside. 

Step 5: Set your air fryer or oven to 180 °C.

Step 6: Place chicken in the oven or air fryer and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 7: Turn chicken and baste with the remainder of the sauce and cook for another 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked. 

Step 8: Toast buns in a pan (with some optional butter). 

Step 9: Assemble your burger by adding lettuce, cucumber, 1 piece of chicken and some of the reserved sauce. 

Step 10: Top with more lettuce, cover and serve immediately. 

Tip: For extra yumminess, add a slice of mozzarella cheese and serve with sweet potato fries.
